Journey Home Program
The Journey Home Program was created for the dogs who wait the longest and are often the first to run out of time in overcrowded shelters.
Through a partnership with Risen Star Kennel (RSK), these high-risk dogs are placed in a calm, professional training environment where they receive structured boarding, behavioral evaluation, daily training, and preparation for adoption — including Canine Good Citizen certification work.
The program removes dogs from stressful shelter environments and gives them the time, structure, and guidance they need to rebuild confidence and find a successful forever home.
The program provides:
• Professional behavioral evaluation
• Daily structured training
• Calm, stable boarding
• Adoption readiness preparation
• Canine Good Citizen certification training
• Placement support and post-adoption guidance
SUPPORT THE JOURNEY HOME
Supporting the Journey Home Program means investing in preparation, prevention, and life-saving outcomes. Your support funds professional boarding, daily training and behavioral work, medical care, and adoption preparation while allowing the program to expand and reach more high-risk dogs.
